The Late Bloomers' Club A Novel Louise Miller 9781101981238 Books

The Late Bloomers' Club is a story of family, devotion, fulfillment, and love. Anyone who has ever put their family first and set aside their own passions to care for those they love will resonate with Nora. Anyone who "ran away" and was "lucky enough" to pursue their dream will resonate with Kit. But honestly, it doesn't matter if you'll resonate with either one of them because you'll love the town and family of Guthrie, VT.

This story never lags and even to the very end had me gasping, smiling, crying, and rejoicing. I was so happy to see Livvy make an appearance in the book but equally happy that she was just part of the town color, so even if you haven't read Louise's first book (The City Baker's Guide to Country Living) you won't be confused in the slightest.

I can hardly wait to see was Louise Miller comes out with next, and while I'll happily read anything set anywhere, I do truly hope there is more of Guthrie in my future.

The Late Bloomers' Club A Novel Louise Miller 9781101981238 Books Reviews

This was a sweet read. Loved the relationship between the sisters. The thing I liked most is that the small town of Guthrie Vermont really comes to life and is its own character.
This is an amazing book. From my favorite author. It’s an escape. Beautiful
Ms Miller has now become an auto buy author. I have really enjoyed both of her releases and look forward to book number three.
Really enjoyable read, I found myself routing for Nora and for Freckles. My one complaint - I DESPISED Kit! She absolutely rubbed me the wrong way. So selfish! I found myself so irritated with her that I had to walk away from the story several times. She never did redeem herself. Other than that, I really enjoyed this book.
Thanks Louise....enjoyed another 2 day getaway to Guthrie....on the train in Boston....A great cast of characters, sweet insights, magical scenery .... a slice of literary comfort food...just a great read....Cheers.
In her sophomore novel, The Late Bloomer’s Club, Louise Miller drew me in right away with the charms and quirks of small town life in Guthrie, Vermont. As characters weighed their own (often conflicting) desires against the greater good for their community, I found myself completely invested in each of their outcomes. Miller’s books always make me feel good, not in an overly sentimental way, but with a sense of earned happiness that satisfies me long after I put her books down. I just hope I won’t have to wait too long before the next one comes out.
Louise nailed Small town life in her newest story. As a Northeast Kingdom transplant, I laughed about her references to catching up on gossip at White Market and sighed when she mentioned the beautiful ride up Pudding Hill. The thoughtfulness and caring nature of all of the characters in the small community of "Gutherie" will touch your heart!
