I'm rather late reading this one so I'm not going to go into the plot, but I wanted to say I absolutely adored this story! Really enjoyed the first in this series titled 'Some Like it Wicked' but 'Wild' was even better. The writing was witty, charming, and thoroughly engaging. I fell head over heels for Connor and thought Pamela was a treasure. These two were perfect for each other, true soul mates and an unforgettable couple! Even the cast of side characters were unbelievably endearing. Couple of parts in it were fairly easy to figure out but I still could not help but be sucked into this tale. I smiled, laughed and even cried at the end. Beautifully written and a true joy to read. Highly recommend both books in this Kincaid sibling series. 5 Wonderful Stars!!!Tags : Some Like It Wild (Kincaid Highlands) [Teresa Medeiros] on Amazon.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. Some Like It Wild Kincaid Highlands Teresa Medeiros 9780061235368 Books Reviews
Love TM. Book was a slow read at first but soon got into the story line. Not one of her best but still a ood book.
Ever since I discovered Teresa Medeiros, I have been a fan of hers. I didn't start with the first book she wrote but after reading one of her books, I went right back to the Library and got all of her books they had.
A fun read, it was very entertaining and had a good plot. It took you away to Scotland and England.
One of those books that you just don't want to put down till you are through. Excellent book and will look for more of Teresa's books. I have already read several of her books and intend to read many more.
I thought this story was a fun read, but like this author's book, Some Like It Wicked, I also found it not that memorable. I have always loved this author's books and found them to be the most creative and well written, memorable stories. This one was just okay for me though. I liked the hero and heroine, I just wasn't overwhelmed by their love. Though I read it quickly, I did not find myself engrossed in it. It lacked those surprises that I usually find in this author's stories. Nevertheless, it was still a nice story and I will continue to buy all of this author's books.
I almost groaned aloud in the first chapter when the hero as a highwayman attacks the coach carrying the heroine, who is overcome by her attraction for the man robbing her. I thought this has been done so many times before, especially recently. However, it improves from there and isn't as "typical" as I expected.
Both the hero and heroine discover each has fallen on hard times, emotionally and financially. The heroine has concocted a plan to help her relieve the financial burden on her and her sister and to discover who was responsible for her mother's death. She convinces the hero to help her in this scheme and they fall for one another in the process. The hero ends up with a surprise of his own and more struggles in life and in his relationship as a result.
As I said, there were not a lot of surprises in this story but it was an easy read and I look forward to the next in the series. 3.5
I love the mystery & history of the Scots, and am looking forward to the next installment - Catriona's story
While it took a bit to warm up to the character of Pamela Darby, Connor Kincaid was utterly charming from the get-go. With his dashing charm and quick wit, Pamela met him blow for blow with her own intelligence and bravery.
As a sequel to SOME LIKE IT WICKED, Medeiros continues to delight with her talented words. I found myself enthralled at the language and play on phrases. While Catriona and Simon only make a couple of appearances in this book (and those are nearing the end), I discovered that Catriona's brother's story was every bit as engaging as hers...perhaps even more so since Connor was the one to witness their parents' death so many years ago. It haunts him in the same way that Pamela's mother's death torments her.
Together, they discover that vengeance is not the answer but rather forgiveness and understanding...and perhaps a little divine justice. Their characters grow and shape one another through their personal tragedies.
